Suddently all new users are not able to receive email from outside. First we had the problem with a new user; we created couple more dummy users to test and all are not able to get mail from outside. We can send emails to these users but outside such as gmail or yahoo got a failure message when try to send emails to them. The problem happens to the new users only; existing users have no problem to receive emails from outside. Below are the failure message from gmail and yahoo.
from gmail: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: dummytest@company.com Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.7.1 Unable to deliver to <dummytest@company.com> (state 14).
from yahoo: Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out. <dummytest@company.com>: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx does not like recipient. Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 Unable to deliver to <dummytest@company.com> Giving up on xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
I've looked at the Default Recipient Policy, the Email Address (Policy) tab has correct rules for the addresses.
I've rebooted the Exchange server (2003 Ent with SP2) but the problem still stays. What is wrong here?
Thx.

I need some details if u give me i can able to guess wer exactly the problem is
1. How many users r facing this problem? 2. R they migrated from other company(subsidiary)? 3. Is outgoing ok for those users to internet mail? 4. If u can send to internet users, r they(internet users) can reply? 5. R they getting other company mails?
1. How many users r facing this problem? Only new users. We created a login for for a new user, found the problem. More test users were created to test and they are facing same problem. 2. R they migrated from other company(subsidiary)? No. It is very straight forward: 1 company, 1 domain, 1 site. The affected users are new users. 3. Is outgoing ok for those users to internet mail? Yes. The affected users can send email to outside. Internet users reply then they got the failure message. 4. If u can send to internet users, r they(internet users) can reply? Yes. I can send email to internet users and they can reply. 5. R they getting other company mails? Yes. They can send and receive company emails.
We have a Sonicwall Spam Filter ES300 in front of Exchange. I will ask Sonicwall to look into it but this is strange unless the configuration has been changed because we never have this kind of problem with new users. Thx.
