Most users on our network are running Outlook 2007 but a few are running Outlook 2010 to connect to our Exchange 2010 server. Since we migrated from Exch 2003 to 2010 we have noticed that after a reboot of the Exchange server all users start getting prompted for credentials. In the old Exch 2003 environment the clients would just reconnect/reauthenticate when the server came back online. When the prompting begins the users can simply close and reopen Outlook to get connected again. Can anyone advise me of how to eliminate this prompting?

If those clients have the RPC-over-HTTP / Outlook Anywhere settings configured make sure they are not configured to try HTTP over fast LAN connections.
