Good afternoon all,

I have a single server environment Exchange 2010 on a Windows 2008 R2 AD server that has been working fine for the past few months and I have a problem that started after an update that took place last night.

Last night 11 updates were downloaded and installed successfully by the system, this morning I tried to access OWA thru a LAN connection and I receive the following error "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage", I get the same error across the web. Active Sync has been working on by smart phone since I first installed exchange and it now wont connect I get a synchronization error request time out. I can access Outlook locally but I cant access any of the default websites.

I have checked the IIS server and it is running, I have restarted the services, I have checked the event logs to see if there were any errors relating to the web access but nothing is showing up.

I don't know where to look at this point, does anyone have any suggestions?

Confused!!!!!

First thing to check is whether the issue is with Exchange or with IIS. To determine this, try connecting to http://server and see if the default web site shows up (assuming no changes have been made to the site!)

Thanks for the prompt reply,
I did check this and the default site doesn't display either.
The default site was working previous.

I have been trying to track down the issue and I found that if I remove the "Require SSL" from the default site I can access the default and the OWA site from inside and outside of the network.
The ActiveSync isn't working either way.
I am wondering if something got screwed up with the cert's when the up date took place?

Check to make sure your certificate has not expired. Also check to make sure it is still valid.

Thanks,
I did this on Friday night. I had 5 Certificates in the system, 4 were self signed and one was from a cert provider on the web. One of the self signed certs was the assigned th Hub Transport service and it was created on the 11th. I assigned the Hub Transport role and SMTP to the the certificate I got from Thawte then deleted the rest. I restarted the Exchange Server and everything works fine now.

Thanks again,
