For some reason the phone (in this case iPhone) gets the email before Outlook 2007, connected directly to Exchange (2003). This is weird since the phone is on a really slow connection (EDGE vs LAN). Anyway, the problem is that i keep getting mail notifications of spam on my phone, but by the time i open the mail application, it's gone again, because Outlook put it in the junk mail folder. In other words, email is pushed to phone and notifies me, then Outlook receives it and puts it in Junk mail, then phone removes the email again to be in sync. Is there any way to prevent this? Making Exchange have a little delay before pushing to devices? Or better, have Outlook sync faster.

I bet your Outlookis working is Cached mode. Activesync (iphone uses this) is in Push Mode. Push Mode always wins over Cached mode in terms of delivery. If you want outlook to receive email as fast as Activesync you will need to turn off cachd mode. Otherwise setup the antispam settings on Exchange 2010 so that spam is filtered at the server.

The suggested solution is not feasible, as Outlook requires cached mode for junk filter to work. We have the same issue (Exchange 2007) - when we used Blackberries it was not a problem because the Blackberry server had a delay setting. It would be nice if ActiveSync had a delay setting so that Outlook had a chance to throw it into junk before the iPhone dinged. Paul
