Hello, I have a user that has deleted a folder that he had created under his mailbox. I get the "Outlook was unable to recover some or all of the items in this folder Make sure you have the required permissions to recover items in this folder, and try again." message when I click the recover button. This is a folder that is in his mailbox located below his inbox. We have Server 2003 SMB SP2 and Exchange Version 6.5.7638.1. and 2003 outlook client. I have created new folder and deleted it and did recover on it and it worked just fine. It is just this one folder that gives me the error. Please let me know if you need more info. Thanks Ron

I don't have a PST file to repair. I have Outlook 2003 connected to exchange server which does produces a OST file. The thing is I can set this user up on a seperate systen and connect it to the exchange server and the items I need to recover are still there in the recover dialog box but it won't let me recover the folder which should contain emails. I have restored a copy of my information store backuped up before the items were deleted thinking I could open that database and get to the emails, but I haven't figured that one out yet eather. It is extremely odd, I can delete other items and recover them but it won't recover the specific folder that we would like to recover.

In order to recover deleted folders or any other item, you need to use an advanced Exchange server recovery software like this one listed here: http://goo.gl/PyCxyQ The software extensively scans the Exchange database file and gives the preview of recovered data in a tree like structure. From the list of recovered Mailbox, you can select the desired or all items that you want to recover. The program supports all versions of MS Exchange Server.

Download Inbox repair tool to run it and get rid of all the issues pertaining to the damage or corruption of the PST file. But if there are issues other than header corruption then the tool would be of no use. In such a situation you need to make use of efficient and reliable third party PST recovery software that can recover all lost or inaccessible files http://downloadinboxrepairtool.org/
