Is it still possible to run both Edge Transport Role and Hub Transport Role on the server using the PS1 script in Exchange 2010. Any limitations?

According to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123494.aspx you can only run it with an internal role (which is what I would suggest anyway). I haven't heard of anybody running the hub and edge on the same server. Any chance you can point me to a link or casus where this would be explained (and why it would be usefull??)

Marc.dekeyser, You havent heard of any one runnign the edge and hub transport roles on the same server because it is NOT possible!! The edge transport role requires that the server it is run on is NOT a member of the active directory forest that the remaining exchange servers are in. In other words the edge transport and hub transport roles can never be on servers that are in the same forest.

The Anti-Spam features that used to be built into Exchange 2007 now are only enabled by default in the Edge role for Exchange 2010. Does this mean that Microsoft is forcing everyone to purchase an additional Exchange 2010 server license so they can use anti-spam features by installing a second non domain-joined Edge Transport server?

Or do the instructions to enable the anti-spam features on a domain joined Hub Transport server work? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201691.aspx

Yes this still applies to Exchange 2010 (at the top of the link you posted, it states Exchange 2010 under the "applies to" section)
