SAdmin -> Cannot find at least one global catalog server (5.Oct.2010 4:54:42 PM)

Our domain had exchange 2003. Then we removed it from our domain one year before. Now I'm trying to install a new server windows 2008 R2 with exchange 2007. Installation check readiness gives me error:

Cannot find at least one global catalog server running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or later in the local Active Directory site.
Recommended Action: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=30939&l=en&v=ExBPA.3&id=67aca4a0-bc3f-4f8f-8297-b13e0d347942

There are 2 global catalog servers in our domain, both windows 2008. I have no problem to ping both of them from the new server. I check Active Directory Sites and Services on the new server. Both of them are there and running as global catalog servers.

What's the reason  for the error?

Thank you in advance

Exchange 2007 is not supported on 2008 R2. You need to be running Exchange 2007 SP3. This MIGHT be your problem if you do not have an SP3 integrated install DVD.

Other times I have seen this is an issue with IP V6, but that was wc2k7 sp1 on w2k8.
