I have a new 2008 std R2 file server co existing with a 2003 r2 file server, both are running FSRM roles. The FSRM on the 2008 R2 server is unable to send email alerts for quota management etc. My 2010 exchange server has ALL the roles on it and has a standard out of the box config with recieve connectors and send connector. I get the `550 5.7.1 client does not have permissions to send as this sender' error in application event viewer log. I have looked at the smtp recieve logs in exchange transport and the entire smtp dialogue looks succesful.
As shown below.

I cannot see what the problem is? I would appreciate any help. my 2003 server can still send fsrm enails !

On the receive connector, do you have anonymous user permission selected?

Hi thanks for your reply. Yes I do. Any other suggestions please? I have searched a lot for a solution but nothing yet.

Can you run GET-RECEIVECONNECTOR | FL on the server and post the results please?
