Under Public Folders. I have a Folder and SubFolders under it. Some SubFolders take more than 1 minute to open. Others open inmediately.

Is there anything to make the opening of the folders faster.

Would defragmeting the HardDrive help ?

Thanks.

Yes. The amount of items is proportional to the speed.

Found something interesting.

I have a Folder with 16,665 items and 240454 kb in size
which opens inmediately vs the "Slow Folder" which has 8315 items and 167212 kb in size.

I'm confused ... Is there any explanation to the above.

Is there any indexing service in Exchange or something that makes the bigger folder open faster that the samller one..

Thanks.

Are the Public Folders located on the same Exchange Server?

Do you see any Events like the ones described here: How to troubleshoot public folder performance issues that are related to ACL conversions in Exchange 2000 and in Exchange 2003

Have you tried running an ISINTEG on the store or eseutil /g?
