Hello all,

I just stood up my first exchange 2010 mailbox server. I also set up a exchange 2010 hub/cas in the same site as it.

I migrated my mailbox from our Exchange 2007 server to it successfully.

The issue is my outlook client still thinks I am connected to our Exchange 2007 CCR cluster. It has me as disconnected and under connection status when I try and reconnect it trys to keep connecting to exchange 2007.

My blackberry server picked up the change right away and I am receiving and able to send on my blackberry just fine. Also I can log into my mailbox through the internal hostname of the cas server.

Any ideas as to why my outlook 2010 client will not connect to the new mailbox server automatically?

Have you tried connecting to your mailbox on another computer so Outlook creates a fresh profile? Just to see if it's Outlook Profile related / Computer related?

Hi Jesper, thank you for the response.

Sinc eposting this I did try that. I logged into a machine I never logged into before and outlook 2010 autodiscovered my account and set up a profile.

Furthermore, I migrated my co-worker as well and he has the same issue. On his own machine he went to go create another profile and it autodiscovered his account as well. Really odd...so it seems like something is up with the current profiles being able to see the new server...any ideas? [8|]

When I setup my lab for Exchange 2007 upgrade to 2010 on another server, I had no issue connecting after moving my mailbox to Exchange 2010 in my previous outlook profile.

I would suggest reading the Microsoft guide about Proxying and Redirects in Exchange 2010 @ http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310763.aspx

Your Exchange 2007 server should refer you cleanly to the Exchange 2010 server without requiring any end user modification. I would check that you have external and internal urls for your Exchange 2010 virtual directories.

Well, sometimes Outlook profiles get corrupt but it seems you have this issue on alot of users.

Try if Outlook /cleanProfile rectifies the issue.
