Hallo.

I have migrated a customers exchange 2003 installation to a new physical server with 2008 SBS Standard server(EXCHANGE 2007).
All mailboxex and etc is moved to the new exchange 2007 and now i want to remove the old exchange 2003 installation, but the customer don't have the exchange 2003 media so i am not able to run the uninstall program. The old server should not be used anymore so could i yust remove the server from Active driectory from Exchange server manager under the following path Administrative Groups/My_Administrative _Group_Name/Servers?

After rebooting the server i have lost connection to the server.

The server should not be used anymore, but there where where som contents in the public folder instances folder which didn't replicate. The customer didn't have any public folders - only the system folders.

Can i yust remove the server from active directory using adsi edit?

Hey there!
Did you remove the server from Active directory? I have the same problem now and I'm wondering whether I can just remove it from there or not.
What tools are you using for migration? I found the whole process quite complicated and I'm wondering if there's any easier way.
Will

This article describes the steps to automatically or manually remove Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 from your computer. see: http://blogs.msmvps.com/bradley/2011/01/28/manually-removing-exchange-2003-from-the-migration-process/

Before removal off exchange 2003, you must disconnect every mailbox-enabled users from the mailboxes on the Microsoft Exchange server. After all mailbox-enabled users have been disconnected, you can use the Exchange 2003 Setup program to remove Exchange Server 2003.

For any information related to Exchange server, see : http://exchangeserver.tumblr.com/
