all is done - 2003 has been turned off for a week to ensure that 2010 is working well and now i want to uninstall 2003 and essentially nuke the server.

However the uninstall fails with error 8240 There is no such object on the server.

I have gone trough the microsoft kb http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283089 and all other somewhat relevant posts i could find with no luck.

There is probably some script i have to run to remove something small and stupid - and i am hoping someone here will be able to help me

I realkly dont' want to manually uninstall exchange as i am sure there will be leftovers from that activity.

Thanks in advance!

can you cross verify whether any users having the mailbox in the exchange 2003.

The simplest way i think of if the migration complete..
Go to each store of exchange 2003 and note down the user details and then open the adsiedit. and check for homemdb value

i hope you already followed this link

Yes i have seen that thread too

I have gone and checked the users and no users have the mailbox on the e2k3server - that I can find anyhow :)

Is there anything else?

I moved the public folders - upgraded the distance lists all according to the ms article on steps to retire 2k3
