Hi -

We have some legacy mail enabled distribution groups that look to be converted security groups or vice versa.

We are doing some clean up - is there any way to simply remove the email address or mail attributes for the group and convert it back without have to recreat it?

If I recall in the 2003 days you could remove the exchange attributes to do this and the mail enabled would return to a security group.

I for the time being  - just hid the mail enabled group in the address book - looking for a better solution.

Thanks.
-JJ

How about, disable-distributiongroup X?
Or in recipient config - distribution group, right click and disable?
As I understand it that removes the Exchange properties from a group and thus makes it a normal AD group.
