After a complete Disk breakdown, restored Exchange server DataBase wont start.
Error: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, =-550)

ESEUTIL result:
State: Dirty Shutdown
Log Required: 0-0 (0x0-0x0)

What is wrong with the database?
To my knowledge "Dirty Shutdown" would refer to Logs missing.. Am I wrong?

Any Exchange Backup/DB/LOG recommendations so this wont happen again?

The Whole Story/History with all fixes and steps..:

Exchange 2010 NOT SP1

Efter Fiber WAN link down, 2 ESX hosts wrote to the same VHD and broke it.

Did a server restore,
Error: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, ec=-501)
F:\Mailbox\Corp DB01>eseutil /mh ".\corp DB01.edb"
ESEUTIL reports:
State: Dirty Shutdown
Log Required: 779915-779933 (0xbe68b-0xbe69d)
Log Committed: 0-779934 (0x0-0xbe69e)
I now Executed SoftRecovery
F:\Mailbox\Corp DB01>eseutil /r "E00" /l "E:\Mailbox\Corp DB01" /d "F:\Mailbox\Corp DB01"

Extensible Storage Engine Utilities for Microsoft(R) Exchange Server

Logfile base name: E00
Log files: E:\Mailbox\Corp DB01
System files: <current directory>
Database Directory: F:\Mailbox\Corp DB01
Performing soft recovery...
Operation completed successfully in 0.375 seconds.
Now, checked DB again with:
F:\Mailbox\Corp DB01>eseutil /mh ".\corp DB01.edb"
Result from ESEUTIL:
State: Dirty Shutdown
Log Required: 0-0 (0x0-0x0)
Still problems, Exchange throws: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, ec=-550)
Next step; HardRecovery
F:\Mailbox\Corp DB01>eseutil /p ".\corp DB01.edb"

Last Resort:
We tried several databases from earlier backups, same issue.
Since production was down, as a last resort, we finaly created a new empty database and used a recovery database to do mailbox restore from backup, bulk-moved all mailboxes to the new database.

Now we need to fix "Temporary mailbox", recreating OL profile on clients...

For backup problems you can try using "Cloudbacko pro" software as this software gives accurate backup and with that it helps in restoring also it can basically give backup to your Database as well and then it can restore it also
