Hi,

After a complete Disk breakdown, restored Exchange server DataBase wont start.
Error: Unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005, =-550)

ESEUTIL result:
State: Dirty Shutdown
Log Required: 0-0 (0x0-0x0)

What is wrong with the database?
To my knowledge "Dirty Shutdown" would refer to Logs missing.. Am I wrong?

Any Exchange Backup/DB/LOG recommendations so this wont happen again?

Thanks!

The Whole Story/History with all fixes and steps..:

Last Resort:
We tried several databases from earlier backups, same issue.
Since production was down, as a last resort, we finaly created a new empty database and used a recovery database to do mailbox restore from backup, bulk-moved all mailboxes to the new database.

Now we need to fix "Temporary mailbox", recreating OL profile on clients...

Thanks!

For backup problems you can try using "Cloudbacko pro" software as this software gives accurate backup and with that it helps in restoring also it can basically give backup to your Database as well and then it can restore it also
