n_smith07 -> Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 - Digital Signatures - ActiveSync (15.Mar.2011 2:13:08 AM)

So, we decided to migrate our existing Exchange 2003 server to Exchange 2010. So far everything is working except for viewing digitally signed messages on our phones using activesync. Here is what I have...

Windows 2008 R2 Domain controller, Windows 2008 R2, Exchange 2010 SP1 server running in a classic config. CAS, Mailbox, Transport on one server. We rely heavily on signed and encrypted messages. Using Internal and externally issued user certificates.
OWA, ActiveSync, Outlook, POP, IMAP, Signed and Encrypted messages (Signed and Encrypted - OWA, Outlook, ActiveSync smart phones) all work just fine for users on the old server and using the proxy re-direct in Exchange 2010 also works fine.

I have moved a few mailboxes over to the new 2010 server for testing and everything is working (OWA, ActiveSync, Outlook) except for the signed messages on smart phones using ActiveSync. I can view the signed messages in Outlook with no problems. I can view the signed messages in OWA with no problem. I can't read the signed messages sent from any user on the 2003 server, on smart phones. We use active sync on the smart phones. Until I moved the mailboxes to Exchange 2010 this was not an issue.

Also, if I send a signed message from an account on the new Exchange 2010 server I can read the message. Sending from an account on Exchange 2010 works when I send to users on Exchange 2010 server and when I send to users on Exchange 2003 server. I just can't read any signed messages coming from the Exchange 2003 server to an account on the Exchange 2010 server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
