Sorry if this has already been addressed but I can't seem to find the answer. On an Android phone running 2.2 the "Exchange Security Policies" states

1. Erase all data
2. Limit Password.....blah blah blah.

now I understand all of the pocilies EXCEPT for #1. When I click on "activate" will it in fact erase my phone at that point, or just make it capable of being erased? I now how the iPhones work, but we have no Android OS running anything other than the touchdown app. I am useing the native activesync on mine as a test and do not want to loose data currently on my phone.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Rusty. The answer is all it does is activate the polices (as I hoped and assumed it would).....so activate with no fear. You data will still be there. I wish the wording was a little clearer, but now I know for sure what it does.

Hi,
I've found that the only way I can get the Droid to sync is by using the Touchdown software by Nitrodesk.  Easy to setup, and worked perfectly for both our old internal Exchange ActiveSync system, and the MS Online system we're moving to that requires an https:// server address. Thanks
