Hello Folks
My issue is as follows,
I have approx a thousand shared mailboxes all published on the intranet in the following format, http://servername/exchange/sharedmailboxname all working great. A user uses Outlook Full Client to access personal mail and owa with no credentials to access these vital shared mailboxes.
Once I migrate the Users to 2010 and update the links with the new format, I can no longer get straight in from a link. I get the following error;
'this mailbox cant be opened for more information contact your helpdesk'
I can get straight into my own mailbox using OWA but not a shared one without entering credentials. Yes, I know I can then click on top right and open other mailbox, but this is not leveraging the true potential of integrated auth. I have a thousand odd mailboxes and need this to work as it always has without logging on and they need to use a simple link without Forms based auth.
Please tell me this is possible as it always has been?
Thanks...

It looks like you dont have sufficient permission (by default, the administrator account does not have the required permission)

but the link is

https://fqdn.ofdomain.com/owa/user@userprincipalname.com

On one of my servers I have an account I created that has the following permissions

Get-MailboxDatabase | Add-ADPermission -User "SuperUser" -AccessRights ExtendedRight -ExtendedRights Receive-As, ms-Exch-Store-Admin

Add-RoleGroupMember "View-Only Organization Management" -Member "SuperUser"

With those permissions, Im able to login to a shared mailbox with integrated auth.
