Hi I'm trying to install Exchange 2010 in the following environment:

Active Directory is at WIndows Server 2003 functional level with two Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 domain controllers.

Exchange is to be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard with SP1.

There is an existing Exchange 2003 organisation which the Exchange 2010 servers will become part of. Exchange 2003 is running in native mode.

Preparead, prepareschema and preparedomain all ran successfully and reported no errors.

I was able to successfully install the CAS role on the server with no issues.

When I try to install the hub transport, it passes the prerequisites, but then fails to install the role with the following error message:

The Following Error was generated when "$error.Clear();
install-ExsetdataAtom -AtomName MTA -DominController
$RoleDomainController" was run: "An error occurred with error code
'2147950640' and message 'There is no such object on the server'.".

Can anyone offer any advice on how to go forward with this? I'm completely lost with it.
