Here is the scenario, I have been asked to move certain users from exchange to Linux mail server for my domain but MX will still be pointed to Exchange. So, whenever any receives for example.com it will be received by exchange and then exchange need to route the SMTP message for uses which are on Linux box.

My queries are

1] How to configure user based routing in exchange 2007

2] If I somehow mangage to configure Exchange as a smart host and divert the messages to Linux. Do I need to delete those user mailboxes from exchange? Or which one will take precedence? The user based routing or local delivery.
