Hi All,

I'm currently a couple of months in to a transition from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. things have been going really well until around wednesday this week when the Address Book stopped working.

The only thing that I can possibly think that may have caused this is that I removed a legacy UPN Suffix which is no longer required and updated some recipient policies in Exchange 2003.

When selecting To in a new email message we get the following error displayed.

Url: https://mta.domain.com:443/owa/forms/premium/AddressBook.aspx?ae=Dialog&t=AddressBook&a=PickRecipients
User host address:
User: User Name
EX Address: /o=BES Consulting/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=user
SMTP Address: user@domain.com
OWA version: 14.0.639.21
Mailbox server: server.domain.co.uk

Exception type: System.NullReferenceException
Exception message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Call stack

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.SystemConfiguration.AddressBookBase.GetAllRoomsAddressList(ClientSecurityContext clientSecurityContext, ADSystemConfigurationSession configurationSession)
Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Core.Directory.DirectoryAssistance.GetAllRoomsAddressBookInfo(UserContext userContext)
Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Premium.Controls.SecondaryNavigationDirectoryList.CreateCondensedDirectoryList(UserContext userContext, Boolean isRoomPicker)
Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Premium.DirectoryView.RenderSecondaryNavigation(TextWriter output, UserContext userContext, Boolean isRoomPicker)
Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Premium.Controls.NavigationHost.RenderSecondaryNavigation(TextWriter output, Boolean showContacts)
ASP.forms_premium_addressbook_aspx.__Render__control1(HtmlTextWriter __w, Control parameterContainer)
System.Web.UI.Control.RenderChildrenInternal(HtmlTextWriter writer, ICollection children)
System.Web.UI.Page.Render(HtmlTextWriter writer)
System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

A little bit of googling came up with the following page.

However I don;t think I have that issue. My Organisation Config is as follows.

VERBOSE: Connected to server.domain.co.uk.
