markjrees -> Receiving emails for to addresses of another company... (24.Jun.2011 10:44:04 AM)

Ok this is a strange one. I'm helping out one of our clients.

Basically, our client occasionally receives emails that were sent TO one of their suppliers from a third party.

For instance, my colleague sent an email to our client's supplier - a third party company, and our client received a copy of the email.

i.e. the email was addressed to a single address (no cc etc) at the supplier's company but the email was received by our client.

any ideas what might cause this? I've been racking my brains but so far zilch.

The easy answer is that either the third party sender or whoever it was that recieved it from th third-party sender sent it to your client also; either by rule, somebody forwarded it, BCC, or something.

There is nothing on your side that would cause this to occur.
