I am using the import and export feature in Outlook 2003 to make maiboxes to a pst , since Exmerge limit is 2 gig. Do i have to wait until all items in the mailbox update before i export? Some of theses Mailboxes takes hours to update, and that is a lot of time to be waiting just to export it to a pst. i would appreciate your feedback.

Hello jazzy144,

Yes you have to wait till the Mailbox gets updated. You can start exporting the Mailbox which already updated.

You can use Exmerge to export bigger than 2 GB mailbox using the option: By Date, By Folder etc.

You can trying to export a mailbox to PST with cmdlet

Open Exchange Shell --> Run cmdlet --> type command with path New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox <UserAlias> -FilePath \\server\path\file.pst
Importing mailboxes from PST files
Import-Mailbox -Identity <mailboxUser> -PSTFolderPath <PSTFileLocation>
If you export data to a folder in another mailbox, the target mailbox that you specify must exist before running command.

An amazing tool that converts popularly used MBOX/MBX email clients to Outlook PST file. The tool gives flexibility to append the new Outlook data file to an existing profile or to add to any PST file. This useful conversion utility can help you convert your AppleMail mailbox into a directly importable PST file. You can simply import the converted PST file into Outlook and access the mail items in it.With this software you can easily convert the entire Thunderbird mailbox, containing all your mail items into a PST file. You can access your emails by importing the converted PST file into Outlook. http://bit.ly/21bzFB1
