Hi all,

I have been troubleshooting this for the past couple of days, to no avail.

I am running SBS2008 and the topology is wan-firewall-server. There are no other servers or network appliances on the network.

I have created 2 new mailboxes and they can not receive external mail. They can send just fine. All 20 or so other mailboxes CAN receive mail from the internet.

I do not have a spam filter in place and after confirming with my isp they don't either.

Any thoughts on what to look at would be much appreciated.

I would make sure that the new accounts have the external email address you think they have.

Hello and thank you for the response.

Yes the new accounts have the smtp address correctly under the email address tab.

And what response do you get when you telnet to tcp 25 and manually send an email?

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay

However when I send from that users account via OWA, it sends just fine.

I am new to this telnet process though...

Unable to relay doesn't sound right. Follow: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323350 to test again. If you still get unable to relay you should be getting it for everyone.
Also look at the event log for anything interesting. If this wasn't SBS and you had a bunch of domain controllers the most likely explanation is that replication isn't occurring but with only the one DC that's likely not an explanation.
