I just want to make sure I am on the right track here. Currently upgrading to Exch07 from Exch03.

Currently:

Mail come in through ISA Server 2000 > Barracuda Spam Firewall appliance > Exchange 2003

Changing to:

Mail comes in through ISA Server 2006 > Barracuda Spam Firewall appliance > single Exchange 2007 server

If I am reading correctly, to get the Exchange 2007 server to accept mail from the B'cuda, I need to configure Exchange to treat it as an internet gateway, yes? Barracuda is receive only.

I'm referencing this - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb738161.aspx

So I'll need to configure a receive connector, specifying the IP of the B'cude on port 25. In my scenario, I will need to use the Anonymous user permission group. I'll then need to run Get-ReceiveConnector and Add-ADPermission cmdlets.

Does all of that sound correct?

I'm not really clear on the Add-ADPermission part though, what does that actually do?
