I would like to know how to recover a deleted inbox subfolder in outlook 2007.
The client pc is connected to Microsoft exchange server 2007 SP1.
If I click on the recover deleted items button in outlook it only allows me to recover deleted messages but I cannot see the subfolder that is missing.
what would be the easiest way of doing this. I have read some articles about using the RSG option on the EMC but this looks like it will recover the whole database.

Hi, If that folder is hard deleted (Shift+Delete) than you won't be able to recover it using Recover Delete Items. Is that the case in your situation?
Notes The new DumpsterControl value functions even if the DumpsterAlwaysOn value does not exist or is not configured. Even though the Recover Deleted Items menu is available for folders in a .pst file, you cannot recover deleted items from a .pst file because the "Dumpster" is an Exchange feature.

I am not sure about RSG option but when i have deleted a sub folder under contacts folder in my Outlook 2003, Outlook recovery software was the life saver. Using that tool i recovered the entire contacts folder. Try with some recovery utility, they will definitely help you out in this issue.
