cs1rs10 -> Exporting journaled mailboxes to PST doubles size (3.Aug.2011 7:13:08 AM)

Hi,

I have a requirement to archive e-mail for a specific group of mailboxes. I do this by enabling journalling for these mailboxes to defined journal mailboxes. Then I have a weekly task to export the contents of these mailboxes to PST.

The problem is that when the journal mailbox gets exported to PST, it doubles in size. If I open the PST then compact it, it reverts back to its usual size. I would like to avoid this manual step as there are a number of these mailboxes and I'd like it to be completely automated.

Has anyone come across this before?

Thanks,
Ryan

Smoothly repair Exchange EDB file and recover exchange EDB file into PST file with original messages formats. Through EDB to PST Tool you can convert Exchange EDB emails to PST file with email properties- To, Cc, Bcc, Subject, Date, and Time.

You can have a look at Lepide exchange manager tool which helps to manage such tasks without having any interruption. Thus, you can export journal mailboxes into PST without losing or tempering any content.
