Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on a problem ONE of my users is having. She's primarily offsite, but the problem occurs in the office as well. She'll be in outlook and all of a sudden, there will be a credential popup for one of my CAS servers. Each time it comes up, it may pop up a credential box from a different CAS in the organization. I've blown away the profile, researched the issue, etc, but cannot find an answer. It's only this one user. Outlook connects over MAPI and also works fine over HTTPS. My Autodiscover is configured correctly and is NOT prompting my users. The Autodiscover test on the client's system checks out fine. I have the autodiscover pop up hidden via a Group Policy. My cert has autodiscover.domain.com listed in the subject alternative names field. I can't track the answer down. I saw something online where people were setting their SSL security to accept instead of the default ignore on the autodiscover and other vdirs...i tried that but ended up breaking autodiscover for everyone, so I put it back to how it was set before. (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrgeneral/thread/383d130e-869f-4fce-9502-8b340904b0ba/). That seemed to be a SBS2008 issue. I'm running Windows 2008 SP2, Exchange 2007 SP3 UR3v2. I'd like to say my servers have something wrong, but being that this single user is having the issue, I cannot say such a thing. Any clues? Thanks!

Not sure if I on the right track with this but I have seen this pop up with some of our remote users - ones that are not in the office on a regular basis and not logging in and hitting a DC. Their passwords get out of sync. Sometimes the password on the computer is different from the DC or the passwords have even expired and they are using "cached" creditials. Maybe have the user login on the network and do a "change password" - hopefully that will replicate to the network - if they are remote - they can login with their existing creditials - login into the VPN and the try a "change password" - in extreme cases I have had the person login via the vpn - and set a password for them and had them "lock" their machine and unlock with the password I set. It is a wacky thing - sometimes it takes a while to update across the domain. Hope this helps. JJ

Thanks for the reply...i think you were onto something although we did go through all that password steps. The problem started when the user had to change her password offsite...we went through all that mess getting things synced up. But even when the user came into the office, it would still continue to pop up. We resynced the password again in the office but no luck. We ended up giving the user a new PC while here in the office and there were no more pop ups. I think something in her user profile got hosed or out of sync somehow. Thanks for the response and thoughts on it.
