Hey guys,
Having the following issues with a remote site with a separate exchange box.
Server (ex02): win 2008/exchange 2007

Clients: win7/Outlook 2007

Head office is running its own exchange box and everything works fine.
The branch office connects to ex02 but seems to have connectivity issues.
The users get OOF error "Your Out of Office settings cannot be displayed, because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later." and i have also noticed that OWA is not working also with error "Outlook Web Access is not currently available for the user mailbox that you are trying to access. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem continues, contact technical support for your organization and tell them the following: The available Microsoft Exchange Client Access servers in the target Active Directory site are not responding."
Not sure if both tie togetter, any suggestions on where to start?

I followed the following steps to troubleshoot:
http://www.proexchange.be/blogs/exchange2007/archive/2009/07/14/your-out-of-office-settings-cannot-be-displayed-because-the-server-is-currently-unavailable-try-again-later.aspx

I got stuck at autodiscovery step going to URL https://server01.test.com.au/EWS/exchange.asmx
The URL does not respond back with anything?

k.. the out of office works only when your autodiscover works. Kindly answer the question for better understanding of the problem

1. Are you trying the OOF from outside the network/internet?.. if so, have you configured outlook anywhere and autodiscover

2. Whether you use the oof, inside or ouside the network, you should be able to set the oof through owa. so, is this happening for only one user or for all the users,

Inside and outside does not make a difference.
OWA stopped working about 2 weeks ago, before that it was working fine.
I am not sure if any changes was made before had as i have just been given the task to look into this. Coming from Notes background :(

All users at remote site have this issue, even if i create a new user with new mail box. Currently OWA is not working i get the error "Outlook Web Access is not currently available for the user mailbox that you are trying to access. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem continues, contact technical support for your organization and tell them the following: The available Microsoft Exchange Client Access servers in the target Active Directory site are not responding.".

If i move the mailbox from remote site to our local exchange box it will work fine, so problem is on the remote exchange box some where.
