hi to everyone, i have installed on my environment exchange 2007 sp1, and i want upgrade it to last SP and UR.
My cluster is composed of: 2 DC, 2 CAS/HUB, and 2 CCR node

If I have understand the steps to upgrade are:
1) on DC update AD schema
2) on CAS/HUB upgrade to SP3
3) on CCR: upgrade passive node to SP3, failover to it and then upgrade the other node to SP3.
after this
4) on CAS/HUB upgrade to UR 4
5) on CCR: upgrade passive node to UR4, failover to it and then upgrade the other node to UR4

my question is:

1) all steps are correct?
2) can I upgrade CAS/HUB and after some days upgrade CCR? or I must upgrade all together?
3) can I upgrade to SP3 and UR4 together the same cluster? example on CAS/HUB - sp3 and UR4, after CCR passive sp3 and UR4, failover ecc ecc

You should move step 3 to after step 4 so that the CAS and HUB servers are done before doing any mailbox servers.
You can leave some time after the CAS/HUB servers before doing the mailbox servers.

1. you dont have to do the /prepareAD and /prepareSchema from a DC, you can run it from any exchange box. You just have to log in with Domain Admin and Schema Admin rights.

2. Step 2 looks fine, except I always run the command line setup, ie: setup /m:upgrade

3. Step 3 should go like this:
- on the passive node, do a setup /m:upgrade (reboot if necessary)
- on the active node, do a "stop-clusteredmailboxserver"
- on the active node, do a "move-clusteredmailboxserver"
- on the passive node do a "setup /upgradecms" (passive node is not the active node when this completes)
- on the (now) passive node, do a setup /m:upgrade (reboot if necessary)

4. looks fine (UR5 is out by the way...)
5. looks fine

Other:
1) all steps are correct? (see my corrections above)
2) can I upgrade CAS/HUB and after some days upgrade CCR? or I must upgrade all together? (you can, but it's not advisable, I would do them at the same time)
3) can I upgrade to SP3 and UR4 together the same cluster? example on CAS/HUB - sp3 and UR4, after CCR passive sp3 and UR4, failover ecc ecc (no, you have to do the SP3 upgrade, then upgrade to the latest update rollup UR5 is out by the way...)
