If you highlight a stuck message in one of the queues for a genuine sender - what does the queue message down the bottom of the screen say?

Can you restart the SMTP Service please and then check the queues again.

Most say The connection was dropped by the remote host.

Hotmail.com says No additional information available. And we have a few messages waiting to go to those addresses.

I have restarted the SMTP about 5 minutes ago.

I believe that the DNS settings have been fixed by our ISP.

Well the problem was fixed. The server has Symantec Antivirus running on it. I disabled the e-mail protect option and all the emails left our server...

Great news - well done (and you are very welcome).

Regarding the Anti-Virus software being disabled, I would make sure you read the following article and set the exclusions then re-enable the AV and you should be good to go:
