Any one have any suggestions as to what i can do to fix this. Here is what i have done so far. the orgiinal email account i had deleted it from ADUC, on the exchange server under the mailbox store i deleted and purged the mailbox. I then ran the RUS(recipient update service) i waited two hours, and then re created the account, made sure it had all the correct mail X400 and SMTp address and it does. I went to my Global settings\message delivery\ and the recipient filtering tab and made sure the email address WAS NOT in their and it isn't. Under my IMF- tab i made sure the "when blocking messages" tab is set to no action, it was set to reject and has been that way since i started with this company. I then setup the outlook account on a local test box, the account is seen and active, i can send internal email to my outlook client and to my web admin with no issues internally to and from work and also email outbound from the users email to my yahoo test email account it works. It fails when i try to sen inbound to it from yahoo \gmail\and msn email. under the admin group\server\firststoragegroup\mailboxstore\mailboxes i can see the mail box total items increase whenever i send on to it, even though it says mailbox not available. here is the error Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address. <sales@mycompanyfkaemeial.com>: Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 Requested action not taken: mailbox not available [RCPT_TO] any help would be greatly appreciated ( ps i change the domain name to a fake one) Thanks NMBP

The original issue at hand was our sales team stopped getting email into their sales box from outside people, from anywhere (yahoo, gmail, msn) etc..etc.. nothing catching it before, no postini, no barracuda, i ran the telnet test(sorry forgot to put up info) and it timed out.. here is the captive data.( i have changed my email address at yahoo, and 250 mail.mydomain.com Hello [10.1.1.5] MAIL FROM:myemailaccount@yahoo.com 250 2.1.0 myemail account@yahoo.com....Sender OK RCPT TO:sales@myfakedomain.com notify=success, failure 250 2.1.5 sales@myfakedomain.com DATA 354 Start mail input; end with <CRLF>.<CRLF> Subject:Test Message This is a test email you will not see a response from this command. QUIT 451 Timeout waiting for client input Connection to host lost. my exchange is 2003 on a windows server 2003 sp2 box. in native mode

Ahh, ok that would explain the timeout..good catch i didnt even think of that realm. However my issues has cleared itself, it turns out the RUS was the culprit. I did a rebuild on it starting around 11:00am on Tuesday and this morning when i came in i found over 5 emails into that mailbox that was having issues. so i guess my RUS rebuild took a bit longer then i expected... Thanks everyone for your help an assistance..
