nmantia -> How to determine how much mail in organization is older than X date and how many items (per user) (25.Jan.2012 4:17:09 PM)

I'm trying to find a way to look at our Exchange databases and figure out the amount of mail that's older than the following (across our entire organization)

- 90 Days
- 180 Days
- 365 Days

We are currently using an Archiving product and there was a tool at one point to give you an overview of your environment to help you determine what you should set the retention limits at

I'm looking for a similar tool or way to do this in PowerShell, Exchange Tools, etc

I saw the following and this will take forever to do (we have over 1800 mailboxes)

http://www.thedailyadmin.com/2009/03/exchange-2007-finding-users-with-items.html

Does anyone know of a tool that could help in this situation (Third Party is OK) or know if there's something I can do in Exchange to extract this information?

Essentially, I want to be able to know which users have mail older than the thresholds, how much mail (size, number of items) falls into these categories, etc

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking all day at this and can't find anything that looks like it will do what I want it to do
