Have move all the roles and mailboxes over to Exchange 2010 DAG from a single Exchange 2007. Am almost ready to decomission Exchange 2007. Only thing left if the Public Folders. I thought I had moved everything over, so I ran Get-PublicFolderDatabase -Identity "Public Folder Database" | Remove-PublicFolderDatabase to remove the Public Database Folder. The command return the following error: The public folder database "EXCHANGE2007\Second Storage Group\Public Folder Database" contains the following offline address books: \Default Offline Address List . Before you can delete the public folder database, you must change the OAB distribution method to Web-based distribution. + CategoryInfo : InvalidOperation: (EXCHANGE2007\Se...Folder Database:ADObjectId) [Remove-PublicFolderDatabase], InvalidOperationException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 78BFD1AB,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemConfigurationTasks.RemovePublicFolderDatabase Presume I need to change the OAB distribution method to Web-based distribution, which I thought I did already. Is there a script that will to this or a place in the EMC to make this change? Thanks in advance!! Edward Ray

I made sure that all the Public folder database references were to my exchange 2010 servers. For those interested I followed the steps outlines at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd876883(EXCHG.140).aspx I ran Get-PublicFolderDatabase -Identity "Public Folder Database" | Remove-PublicFolderDatabase and got the following response: The public folder database "EXCHANGE2007\Second Storage Group\Public Folder Database" contains folder replicas. Before deleting the public folder database, remove the folders or move the replicas to another public folder database. For detailed instructions about how to remove a public folder database, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=81409&clcid=0x409. + CategoryInfo : InvalidOperation: (EXCHANGE2007\Se...Folder Database:ADObjectId) [Remove-PublicFolderDatabase], InvalidOperationException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : 78BFD1AB,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemConfigurationTasks.RemovePublicFolderDatabase Exchange 2007 will not let me remove the Public Folder Database residing on its server. Not sure what else to do at this point. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

Edwin, Perform the following steps: - open the EMC
- Expand the organization configuration
- Select the Offline Address Book tab
- Verify that the generation server is the Exchange 2010 server if not select the Move option from the Action menu to move the OAB generation to the Exchange 2010 server
Besides this you may want to enable PF distribution on the Default OAB depending on which clients are in use. Regards, Johan
