I am trying to install 2010 on windows 2008 R2 (64bit)
There is only one domain controller windows 2008 (32bit)

When I run the setup i get the following errors

Error:
Setup encountered a problem while validating the state of Active Directory: Could not find any domain controller in domain XXX.internal

I can ping the DC by name. Also nslookup works fine as well. there is only one domain controller in the forest.

Have tried run as administrator of the setup and no luck

Hi,

Please post the Exchangesetuplog which is created in the exchangesetuplogs directory on th c drive of your system.

its resolved, the issue was with the second dns pointed to ISP which didnt have info about the loical domain

i have removed the secondary dns on the exchange server and all works.

dcdiag helps to find out the issue
