Hello,

I have an information store which is rather large. I've tried off line dfregmentation but all have failed. Event ID says that I have about 20GB of white space.
This morning after a schelduled restart, the information store would not start.
However prior to the restart a successfull backup of the information store completed.
After checking the service I found the Information Store service was not started.
When I tried to shart it I received the following message:
"Could not start teh Microsoft Exchange Information Store service on Local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."
Any help would be greatly appreciagted.
