Hi,

We have email from a single client which arrives at our exchange 2003 server and then appears to be delayed for a number of hours before eventually being delivered to the recipient. No other problems with any other email.

Ideas?

Thanks, Paul,

Ok, I have some additional info. We use microsoft IMF on the server. I use IMFCompanion to view all the trapped Spam. Although I leave this running all the time sometimes the automatic refresh does not work and the display will not update. When I manually click on 'refresh' in the options in the IMFCompanion software the email/s that are getting stuck are released and are delivered. Now this used to only affect emails that came from our internal internet routers sending status information like VPN up/down status. When the IMFC was manually refreshed all the emails would arrive alltogether. But now this single clients email appears to be suffering the same issue. So looks like something do with IMF.

Ok the client sent another email which did not arrive, went inot messag tracking advised and following is reported:

08.37 SMTP: message archived by intelligent message filtering
08.37 SMTP: message deleted by Intelligent Message Filtering
09.15 SMTP: Message submitted to advanced queuing
09.15 SMTP: Started messgae submission to advanced queue
etc

The messgae was 'released' as a consequence of my manual 'refresh' if the IMFCompanion viewer window so I could view all the spam upto 9.15am
