Hello.

I have an issue with network configuration for DAG.

DAG consists of two servers: SR-EX07 (Mailbox server), SR-EX10 (CAS/HUB/Mailbox)

Exchange Server 2010 SP2 RU2 instaled on both.

Servers located in different datacenters connected via Cisco site-to-site VPN. Separate AD sites configured for both locations. There are two network interfaces configured on each server. One for MAPI and other for replication traffic.

SR-EX07:

NIC1(MAPI)-172.17.8.77, (network 172.17.8.0/24)

NIC2(Replication)-10.101.2.2, (network 10.101.2.0/30)

SR-EX10:

NIC1(MAPI)-172.16.19.195, (network 172.16.19.192/27)

NIC2(Replication)-10.101.1.2, (network 10.101.1.0/30)

Configuration of DAG Networks:

Name : MAPI network
Subnets : {{172.16.19.192/27,Unknown}, {172.17.8.0/24,Up}}
Interfaces : {{SR-EX07,Up,172.17.8.77}, {SR-EX10,Up,172.16.19.195}}
MapiAccessEnabled : True
ReplicationEnabled : False

Name : Replication network
Subnets : {{10.101.1.0/30,Up}, {10.101.2.0/30,Up}}
Interfaces : {{SR-EX07,Up,10.101.2.2}, {SR-EX10,Up,10.101.1.2}}
MapiAccessEnabled : False
ReplicationEnabled : True

and finally...

DatabaseAvailabilityGroupIpv4Addresses : {172.16.19.210, 172.17.8.199}

Replication works fine. Network 172.16.19.192/27 is in UNKNOWN state, and after I added second IP for DAG (172.16.19.210) it did not appear in a cluster resources. Cluster configuration:

EXDAG1

Name : Address
Value : 172.17.8.199

Name : SubnetMask
Value : 255.255.255.0

Cluster networks:

Name : SR-EX07 - NIC1(MAPI)
Node : SR-EX07
Network : Cluster Network 1
State : Up

Name : SR-EX10 - NIC1(MAPI)
Node : SR-EX10
Network : Cluster Network 1
State : Up

[both MAPI interfaces in one cluster network, but in different subnets, why?]

Name : SR-EX10 - NIC2(Replication)
Node : SR-EX10
Network : Cluster Network 2
State : Up

Name : SR-EX07 - NIC2(Replication)
Node : SR-EX07
Network : Cluster Network 4
State : Up

I ran cluster verification - without errors, tried to remove SR-EX10 from DAG and join it again - no result.

In this situation, when server SR-EX07 fails, MAPI connections are fails too.

Help me! :)
