We are running a single box with sbs 2003 and exchange 2003. I'm having an issue with the routing of emails through the smart host. I have created an A record and MX record on the host server for our web site that points to our global IP. When I switch the smart host to the sub domain all messages being sent to external domains get queued for deferred delivery but I can receive all emails fine. Does anyone know what could be causing this issue?

I also wanted to know if the smart host or dns is the best option for the SMTP connector.

Thanks,
Paul
