xxsubz78x -> how to use Exchange Management Shell to find disabled AD users with mailboxes (25.Sep.2012 5:14:30 PM)

I'm trying to figure out the Exchange 2007 Management shell command to find disabled AD accounts that still have a mailbox in the database.

Please don't send me to a generic Microsoft link, I need the actual command.

Thank you

This is what you need.

Actually that's NOT what I need at all. You gave me some links on how to see Disconnected Mailboxes.

When you disable an AD account, nothing happens with the mailbox itself until an admin goes in and disables it.

So here's what happens:

1. Administrator disables the AD account
2. Administrator does nothing else.
3. Exchange mailbox stays connected to the "disabled" AD account.

I need to find those AD accounts that are disabled but still have a mailbox associated with it.

Hi,

What you are looking for is more an active directory request not an exchange one.

I figured it out elsewhere. You have to use this command:

Get-Mailbox |?{$_.UserAccountControl -Match "AccountDisabled"}| Fl Name,Database,UserAccountControl
