pichels -> 2010 - DAG Failover - Mailbox/DB mounted on backup server - need to fail-back! (1.Nov.2012 9:23:37 AM)

Hi-

Newbie to 2010 DAG.

Lost our WAN connection to our backup Exchange Server(DAG) and now the connection is restored - but, our email is now mounted on the other server and slow.

We have a 2 server setup - each in a different physial site/location.
We are in a single site AD/Forest/Domain.

Here is the current mailbox status:

[PS] C:\>Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus -Identity ED* | select name, status | sort Status | ft -auto

Name Status
---- ------
ED-MB01\Server1 Failed
ED-MB02\Server1 Failed
ED-MB01\Server2 Mounted
ED-MB02\Server2 Mounted

We want to move/re-mount our Mailbox(MB01) back to Server1 from Server2.

What are the steps?
Will we affect our users?
How much time could be involved -estimate?

Thankd for any help!

Thanks Clemente.

Yep - I had some responses in the technet forum.
Was really looking forward to someone answering here.
<smile>

This question was answered.
Appreciate the heads up.

Sorry your query got overlooked here. The Technet forums have grown in popularity in recent years, and so our little community here has suffered in comparison. But please don't give up on us, we are a friendly bunch!

Thanks ZBnet - will not forget.
This has been a forum where I've found other info or answers to my questions.
