Hello Exchange Gurus

I have a strange problem on our Exchange 2007.

I have 2 CAS servers (Ex1, Ex2) on the same Exchange VM. One (Ex1) is a wrong installation and second one (Ex2) is working fine.

OOF through OWA works fine for Ex2
Outlook Anywhere works fine for Ex2.

But when I try to access OOF settings through Outlook 2007/2010, I get an error "Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Pls try later"

When I go to "Test E-mail Auto configuration" of the outlook, I recieve sometimes correct URLs of Ex2 and sometimes wrong urls of Ex1. URLs change for every click/test.

<ASUrl>https://Ex1.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx</ASUrl>
<EwsUrl>https://Ex1.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx</EwsUrl>
<OOFUrl>https://Ex1.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx</OOFUrl>

<UMUrl>https://Ex2.com/UnifiedMessaging/Service.asmx</UMUrl>
<OABUrl>http://Ex2.com/OAB/a3f62633-d14c-4003-b772-101eecf538e5/</OABUrl>

Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory returns below error

Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory : The operation could not be performed because
object 'Exch.dc.com' could not be found on domain controller 'dc.com'.
At line:1 char:32
+ Get-webservicesvirtualdirectory <<<< -identity "exch.dc.com"
+ CategoryInfo : InvalidData: (:) [Get-WebServicesVirtualDirector
y], ManagementObjectNotFoundException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : 5FBBDF70,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemCon
figurationTasks.GetWebServicesVirtualDirectory

Pls advise. How do I overcome this problem.

Restart the problematic server and check the issue.
If it still fails to find EWS VDir than you will have to delete it and create it again.

But the problem is there is no separate Ex1 CAS server. The new working CAS EX2 also reside/installed on the same server. When I open Exchnage console, I see both CAS. But one (Ex2) is working and the other one (Ex1) is not even registered.

So, the problem is EX01, which shows in EMC but it's not there. I believe this was bad installed server!. Is that correct?
Did you removed the server?

You are Correct!!

I didn't try to remove this bad EX01, because I'm not confident. I don't want to fiddle and run into problems with working CAS i.e EX02, as both are on the same server

Friends,

Any advise for the above problem?

Also when I activate OOOF on the Blackberry (BES 5.0.3), it works only for internal. It does not work for external clients

I have enabled OOOF of "default remote domain" on the hub transport to option 3, but still it is not working on Black Berry
