Hi All,
I have currently got an Exchange DAG cluster on my production network. We have added another MB server which resides in our datacentre on a different subnet:
10.10.10.0/24 - PRODUCTION
10.10.11.0/24 - DATACENTRE
I have added the new MB server to the DAG and am now looking to add a database copy. What I would like to know is can I pre-seed this operation using the -SeedingPostponed switch? If so what is the correct way to do this? I am thinking:
1. Dismount mailbox store
2. Copy .edb to USB/External drive.
3. Remount store.
4. Add mailbox copy using the -seedingpostponed switch...?
Obviously this involves some downtime, would it be possible to restore our most recent edb from a backup instead of taking a copy?
