Afternoon All

Thanks for reading (hopefully)

My current situation is that i have an exchange 2003 setup, i built and installed exchange 2010 patched to SP3 all working fine ready for me to transfer everyone over. the guy i work with Deleted the VM!!!! as he didnt know why it was there (even thouh i explained twice what i was doing)

Now the issue i have, i had to clean up AD obviously and remove the FederatedEmail etc BUT now when i try to do the install from fresh it wont allow me to install as the Fedemail isnt there.

i have tried prepareAD using the setup - which errored with AD version is higher than the version on Setup so i tried to run the prepare from SP3 - no joy that errors out aswell.

is it poss without having to restoring AD to cleanup the mess created? or even install 2007 ten upgrade to 2013.

Thanks in Advance

How did you clean up AD? Best way would be to bring up a new VM With the same name as the deleted server and same OS then run exchange setup with the /recoverserver switch to reinstall exchange back on the machine.

What is the exact error you are getting?
