New mail notification for public folders?

Hi,

we are in the middle of a migration from Notes to Exchange 2010.
Currently we use mailin databases and will most likely replace them with public folders.
If new mail arrives our users are notified about that by an agent, so that they don't have to continuously check the mailin db.

Is it possible to do something like that with public folders? Maybe with a script or third-party-software?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

You can create a moderated public folder. You can follow the articles below to create the same.
