I upgraded from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010 last summer.

Since then Hyperlinks to network files or folders don't work anymore. \\server\share\ hyperlinks just open a new blank tab with the address: https://mailserver/owa/redir.aspx?C=b6fa864710e146de9f1e781bc0879bb0&URL=file%3a%2f%2f%2f%5c%5cHOO..... instead of opening Windows Explorer as it used to do and still does in the desktop version of Outlook 2010.

Has anyone found a solution to this? I have tried various versions of the link: file:\\fileserver\share file://fileserver/share file:///\\fileserver\share all with same results.

We always used to teach our staff to send a link not an attachment - that was our mantra - now it is not valid

PS. Also a bummer they discontinued the file share "documents" integration
