Sent Items and Shared Mailboxes (Full Version)

We are just in the process of migrating to Exchange 2013 and are having an issue with shared mailboxes.

We are giving the required users full access and send as rights to the shared mailboxes. However, when they are sending an email, it goes into their own personal (primary) mail account sent items folder. I know there was a way to fix this on Exchange 2010, but i'm struggling to find a fix for Exchange 2013.

Our users are not on our domain at the moment (due to company take over) so they are connecting over Outlook Anywhere over https.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the sent items go into the shared mailbox rather than their personal account?

Any help would be really appreciated.
