I know you can't migrate from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2013 as it isn't supported.

But can I migrate from Exchange 2003 32bit to Exchange 2007 32bit trial version then migrate to Exchange 2013 64bit? (Exchange 2003 would be on the old server, Exchange 2007 trial would be on a temporary server and Exchange 2013 would be on a new server.

Once I have migrated Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007, the Exchange 2003 server would be shutdown.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Hi John,

Yes, it is true that Microsoft doesn't allow you to migrate directly to a version skipping an intermediate one, but the method which you are choosing is really lengthy and confusing and you don't need to follow it.
In your scenario, its better to use any utility tool to avoid the risks associated and it can migrate your exchange server in hasslefree manner. You can refer to many exchange server migration tools, my favorite will be Lepide exchange recovery manager as it allows the granular restoration from EDB and also supports Office 365.
To know more and get the free trial version of the tool, visit the link-
