I'm in the process of transitioning from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. I've been through pretty much most of the process and things seem to be going ok. At the moment I've got most users mailboxes still on Exchange 2003, but I've moved a portion of the mailboxes to 2010 and users can access these just fine from Outlook.

Now my question centers around OWA access.

My current primary Exchange server is 2003 and utilises an SSL certificzte. Users used to point their browser at https://owa.mydomain.com/exchange and got access to their email. How can I configure so that OWA under 2010 becomes active and still allows 2003 mailboxes to become active? I was hoping I could point the browser to https://owa.mydomain.com/owa. Do I need a new SAN certificate configured/installed on the Exchange 2010 server before I can do this or can I somehow get this working before applying for SAN certificate.

I should have also stated that OWA works for both 2003/2010 users if the appropriate 2003/2010 internal URL is used:

https://exch2003/exchange or https://exch2010/owa

Also to slightly complicate matters I have an ISA Server 2006 server in place which has a rule to publish the OWA service of Exchange 2003.

TIA,
Robert.
