We currently have 5 exchange server 2003 boxes one of which is a front end server. We are looking to introduce exchange 2010 mainly because we have space issues. We want to move some of the users to exchange 2010 server and still keep our other exchange 2003 servers.

1. How long can exchange 2010 and exchange 2003 coexist in the same environment?
2. Can we install exchange server 2010 (CAS, HT, MBX) and still let exchange server 2003 route all emails?
3. My main question is if we install exchange server 2010 does it have to control mail routing?
