I have a single Exchange 2010 server all outgoing mail is routed to a smart host spam filter. I have a line of business app server that generates emails to customers and sends to the exchange server from a single IP address using a single email address. when i route out going mail using dns the LOB server mail sends very quickly when it goes out to the smart host is is extremely slow. So I need to link a receive from the LOB server to DNS send but in exchange you can only link connectors going to a smart host. so how can I send all mail except for mail from one internal ip to a smart host and the mail from that one ip address out using dns
